Yeah, I'm going to look into various therapeutic options. I thought EMDR was mostly for acute, one-time events, where mine was more an ongoing situation...but sounds like your friend's friend's situation was ongoing, too. So maybe EMDR would help. I've also considered psychadelics etc.
How was your friend's friend affected?
I don't feel like I have most of the symptoms - I don't think anyone would describe me as particularly moody or hostile - but I do struggle with adhd type symptoms, and I do avoid anything even vaguely similar to the situation that gave me the cptsd in the first place, which unfortunately means avoiding a lot of things that make a "normal" life.
