People cross their arms in an effort to protect themselves when they percieve a threat. Asking them not to do this is asking them to go against their protective instincts. I've learned from experience not to trust people who try to manipulate my body language.

That said, I agree that feminism sometimes strays into man-hating. Feminism is a large, unwieldy movement, full of diverse people with diverse ideas - of course some of what parades under the banner of feminism is going to be questionable - almost any large unwieldy movement has that problem.

But do yourself a favor and don't reject the whole concept based on a few shitty ideas.

And perhaps write an article advocating for men rather than criticizing feminism. Men need thoughtful, intelligent voices raised in their support. Criticism of feminism will often be dismissed as thoughtless backlash.
