"Let me know if you have found it useful; if the feedback justifies it, I’ll continue the series with discussions of anxiety disorders, autism, ADHD, and other problems."

Yes please!

A huge pet peeve for me is when lay people diagnose others (often a loved one, yech!) without the proper training or education. I think this does a huge disservice to both people who don't have a disorder (it serves to delegitimize them) and those who DO have the disorder (delegitimizes, and in a way, dehumanizes).

I've been told I had ADHD, and certainly some of the symptoms resonate, but my current therapist thinks it's CPTSD. Today I was thinking, "I don't even really know what ADHD is.

What a confusing world diagnoses are, and it's nice you acknowledged that in this piece.
