I read this article elsewhere and had to laugh a little - of course leaving in the middle of winter in a cold area with van systems you don't understand would lead you to trouble.

I've been living in my van for 5.5 years, and I love it. But you have to make friends with physical discomfort. Be friends with discomfort, and the whole world opens up to you.
