"Any woman who thinks she can depend on finding a steady stream of men to subsidize her “adventure” really should rethink that. Go back to school. Get a middle class job. Get your own middle class house."

Alimony is usually paid to make up for the career/education that the woman gave up to care for household and children.

It's tough for women who are straddling this transition from 1) when women were expected to stay home and take care of house and kids while husband worked, to 2) both work but woman still does most of the kid stuff and housework.

Most women made major sacrifices early in their careers for the family. Many don't finish their education - again - for the family, and with the husband's approval (or even coercion).

And how is she going to "go back to school" when she has kids, AND has to work? Who's paying her tuition? Who's paying the household expenses? Hard to work full time and go to school (ask me how I know).

Your response betrays your limited understanding of these situations.
