Any time a researcher publishes without empirical data, they'd probably be better off writing memoir and exploring their mommy/daddy-issues that way rather than making sweeping statements about humanity as a whole...

But I am a fan of research that makes assertions based on actual data, particularly if it can be replicated. That isn't always bullshit. It's just that you can't get much reliable data about prehistory.
