Again, black people comprise like 14% of the US population, white people like 72%. So if there are two times more poor white people than black, you're still talking about a smaller share of overall population. Maybe you should look at how much of wealthy are white.
Here, just a cursory look at Wikipedia: "...nearly 96.1 percent of the 1.2 million households in the top one percent by income were white..."
Race. Is still. An Issue.
But I agree that poverty is a problem too.
